Risk disclosure

Trading securities involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. You can lose some or all of the capital you trade. Past performance, whether live or simulated, does not guarantee future results.

Backtested and simulated figures on this site are hypothetical, are labeled as such, and have inherent limitations: they are constructed with hindsight and do not reflect the impact of real market liquidity or the discipline required to hold through drawdowns.

TrueFills is a software platform and publisher. It is not a broker-dealer, not an investment adviser, and does not provide personalized investment advice. Strategy records and signals are information, not recommendations. Decisions and their consequences are yours.

Automatic execution

If you enable it, TrueFills places orders in your connected brokerage account on the signals of the strategy you selected, without asking you to confirm each one. You choose the strategy, the amount of capital it may use and the most it may spend on a single order, and you may change those limits or stop execution at any time. Orders expire if they cannot be placed promptly, and an order is skipped if the price has moved materially against it since the signal.

These safeguards reduce specific failure modes; they do not make automated trading safe. Orders can be rejected, delayed, filled at prices worse than expected, or executed during conditions you would not have chosen. A strategy can lose money quickly and while you are not watching. You remain responsible for the account, its positions and its tax consequences.

Enabling automatic execution requires signing a statement of understanding, which records the version you signed and the time you signed it. TrueFills does not decide what is suitable for you, does not manage your account, and exercises no discretion beyond the strategy you selected and the limits you set.

Terms of use

By using this site or its API you agree to: use them lawfully; not misrepresent sealed or verified records; not attempt to disrupt the service or other users’ data; and accept that early-access features are provided as-is, without warranty, and may change.

Creator accounts own their strategy content and grant TrueFills a license to display it, including the permanent public retention of sealed order history, which by design cannot be deleted. Registering a strategy means accepting that permanence. A strategy that has never posted an order can be deleted outright; once it has published one, the creator may retire it, which stops new orders and removes it from the board while its page and history remain public.

API keys are bearer credentials: whoever holds a key can act with it. Keys are stored only as hashes and cannot be recovered; protect them accordingly.

Privacy

We collect the minimum needed to operate: email addresses for subscriptions, hashed API credentials, and the strategy data creators choose to publish. We do not sell personal data. Broker credentials are handled by the connection provider and never stored by TrueFills in plaintext, whether the connection is read-only or trade-enabled.

Public by design: strategy records, order logs, and hash chains are permanently public. Do not post to them anything you want private.
